We all have the same number of hours in every day. Between work and family, most of us wish we could somehow find a few extra moments in the day to exercise, cook healthy meals, or at least take a few deep breaths.
If you find that your moments run from one to the next from the moment you wake up until the moment you drop into bed, it’s important that you find a new way to look at your day, and perhaps reframe how you spend your ‘spare moments’.
Much of our stress about time comes from our nonstop mental chatter that seems to accompany us no matter what else we are doing. The result of this chatter, is that even small moments, when we could be recharging by emptying our mind, become bulldozed by our judgements, ideas, and to-do lists. Try these tips to create a little more room in your day.
With busy lives, it becomes tricky to not feel completely swept up by all of the demands and responsibilities. But when that happens, we lose our sense of wonder, and the ability to appreciate the little things in these busy lives. We can give ourselves not only the gift of better health, but also the incredible gift of being present and aware of each and every moment as it happens.
